This lounge restoration required a complete rebuild. It needed to be stripped back to a bare shell. Oak beams were exposed and treated for dry rot and woodworm. Damaged plaster was stripped off and brick walls repaired before replastering. All walls were treated for damp. Floor joists were exposed and treated. Larth and plaster on the ceiling was repaired. Floorboards were repaired before carpet was laid. New cast iron radiators were installed. New oak door frame and door were made and installed. The original fireplace was restored and flagstones were laid.
